The time now is Wed, X Rebirth X Rebirth - Technical Troubleshooting. Or will I have to buy the Steam version of TC as well?

I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question. I know the GamersGate website says you just need TC installed, but I have seen it stated elsewhere that a Steam TC is necessary for AP to run.

Does anyone have experience with this particular mix and can tell me for sure that it will or will not work? I bought both TC and AP from Gamersgate and it works just fine.

You will need to register TC on steam. That is exactly the response I was hoping for. Also ,there is a No-Steam exe for AP ,available from Egosoft downloads. TCplots-AP Customize your start XDownloads a Mod Library Xadrian'sComplexCalc REBIRTH HELP.

Thing about TC is that Egosoft allows all Cd-keys of their game to be entered into Steam Steam then lists the game as Free. So, you basically get the Steam Version of TC for free, if you buy the Retail version of TC.

I have a feeling that Gamergate's CD-keys are considered Retail Copies. Steam version of X3: TC's executable is unique, so Steam has to manage it's own version.

Doubt you can use a Retail version of AP and tack it onto Steam's version of TC. Guess it could be possible that Gamergate's version is a Steamworks version. I wouldn't know because I only own a retail box version. And after a certain patch, Egosoft said we could enter our Retail Version CD-keys into Steam to activate the Steam Achievements they added.
